This marinade was amazing. I really wasn't sure almost the ingredients (didn't want teriyaki type), and decided to accept a take chances based upon the ratings. Male child, was I glad I did. The steaks ended up marinating 3 days (due to changes in plans). They were then tender, and the gustatory modality... fabled. This marinade is very subtle, it really enhances the meat well. I didn't have parsley, then I added a dash of thyme. My DH was extremely happy with the gustatory modality, and wants me to utilize this recipe once again and again. ***UPDATE***-I wanted something different for Christmas dinner for 15 people, this was my selection, and anybody raved about how flavorful and tender the steaks were (we used apartment fe steaks). I brought the steaks home from the store, fixed the marinade, popped them in the freezer for about a week, so defrosted them Christmas Eve. My DH put them on the BBQ to cook, YUMMM! On a busy day, information technology was an effortless, but outstanding main dish.

Steak purist every bit he is, hubs preferred his steak without this marinade and didn't use it. In hindsight I wish I would have followed suit. Thank goodness l at least used fresh garlic, but I retrieve both the lemon juice and hefty amount of garlic pulverisation contributed a strong, "off flavor," as 1 reviewer put it, that I simply didn't intendance for - not so certain I liked the basil either. It was fun to experiment, just information technology would have been and then much easier and so much better to accept just stuck with the simple steak seasonings we're accustomed to. When something is really good, like a skillful quality steak, it only doesn't need annihilation to make it better.

I don't know if this is "THE All-time" steak marinade, but it comes in close. I used this on ii pretty large NY stips and information technology came out great! I cut the olive oil down to one/4 c. and used all minced garlic, no powders. I used 2 Tbsp. of stale basil and one Tbsp. of oregano. I didn't take white pepper, then I used 1/2 tsp. of black pepper. I put everything into a ziplock bag and let it marinate all solar day. Perfect with a baked tater and salad!
10/28/2007
Very good marinade. I but had garlic salt, and it was a fault to use information technology. The garlic common salt made the marinade also salty, definitely make sure you use garlic powder as the resipe calls for! Otherwise the flavor was pretty great!

This recipe is Awesome. My husband LOVED it. I didn't have any Lemon Juice then I used Lime and it came out Not bad.
03/30/2012
This is good, but I have been doing the "exact ingredients for over twenty years. Y'all "do non" need to blend ingredients in a blender at all. In fact, if, afterwards tasting "mixture", information technology seems "to strong for your taste buds", just an a little h2o to it.". I as well always add together "a little oil or canola oil" to the mixture(it depends how much y'all brand, but "at to the lowest degree a tablespoon". It tenderizes the steak/pork/or venison" meat, and gives the flames on the grill a chance to "trip the light fantastic upwards", giving those squeamish "charred lines> I likewise utilize both powered garlic and existent garlic. I subsitute lemon juice with "rice flavored vinegar or wine vinegar. Be sure "not to over due the acidic ingredients(lemon or vinegars)If you have "fresh basil get out handy, instead of dry..even amend. I e'er "freeze "fresh basil leaves" in a ziploc baggie, to have handy in the house. Merely crush the leaves once from, catch a handful to add together to your "marinades or pasta sauces. Makes a "huge difference in flavor. Sometimes, instead of "soy", I'll use Terriyaki sauce instead, or sometimes "a little of each". Particularly with "pork tenderloins. Even throw in chopped green onions. Once you are "comfortable making your ain marinades, "the "skys the limit". Y'all besides , if a tender cut of meat(like pork or beef or venison tenderloin", do not have to marinate "more than a half hour". Marinades will stay in a glass jar upwardly to a week, if you lot practise not have time to practise it "daily". I send up a batch with my husband went he goes hunting

Excellent Marinade. I actually didn't add the concluding 4 ingredients. I didn't take parsley flakes & just forgot the pepper. I marinated 4 large Ribeyes for near 4-v hours and the steaks were delicious, all-time I've ever cooked. My hubby took i of the steaks to work 2 days later and microwaved it for tiffin. He was concerned that it might be dry or tough and said it tasted fifty-fifty better. Great recipe. Cheers for sharing.

The problem with marinades that are intensely acidic is that they make the surface of the meat mushy, grayness, and resistant to browning. I take made a version of this marinade with just a tablespoon of lemon juice and the zest of one lemon for flavor, and the texture was markedly better. I also used fresh herbs, as dried herbs have an off flavor. I would not suggest anybody use a 3rd of a loving cup of lemon juice, equally the acid does not actually tenderize the meat past the kickoff few millimeters of the surface, which becomes waterlogged and broken down by the acrid.
01/07/2010
This marinade was actually flavorful. I marinated the steaks overnight and the meat was juicy & tender. Dandy recipe!
04/06/2008
Used fresh garlic instead of pulverization. Great flavor!
12/06/2010
This marinade was just wonderful. We accept been cut dorsum on expesnses in our home, which includes non eating out. I have been doing by best to deliver resturant quality dishes so that no 1 gets board. This did not fail! My fiance but raved over information technology. The simply thing I changed was that a few mintues before the meat was done cooking, I sprinkled a picayune bit of turbanado sugar on the meat to balance the salt. It was to die for! Past the mode, although you dont have take to blend the ingredents together with a processor, I hightly recommend it. This really allows the flavors to mix, the herbs to exist footing (which increased the flavor of whatsoever herb) and the oil to be infused with the flavors of this marinade. Dont hesitated to endeavour this one!
04/04/2008
I allow this marinate for 24 hours. Delicious!
01/07/2011
This really is one of the best meat marinades I've come across in over 30 of cooking. I have used it on steaks, roasts, pork and chicken with wonderful results every time. I have never composite it, rather merely whisk the ingredients together in a glass bowl. The copy I made of this recipe is actually worn out from so much apply! A friend is a NC BBQ pit principal and he uses it frequently. No ameliorate endorsement than a pro!
05/08/2011
I never really eat steak, just that's what my mom wanted for mother's day. I don't really accept anything to compare it to because I've never marinated steak before! Information technology was very easy to put together...I skipped the blender role and only mixed it in a bowl, put the steaks in ziploc bags and poured the marinade in. Mom said "this marinade is succulent!" and so it looks like I did good. Once the steaks were on the grill I poured the excess into a pan with some mushrooms, butter, and a little cornstarch and served that on top the steaks. That was the best part. Don't throw out that actress marinade!!
07/06/2009
I'yard afraid I was just a chip disappointed by this marinade. Notwithstanding, at four stars, it was pretty practiced. I definitely concur that the ingredients should be mixed in a blender and then they are uniform. This also makes the marinade very thick and then it sticks to the meat extremely well - but this is part of the problem. Because of its thickness, even after grilling at that place is so nonetheless much marinade coating the meat that it is overpowering - the flavor of the meat gets lost in the marinade. Then, the solution is elementary - make sure you wipe most of the marinade off before y'all cook the meat! With this one addition to the directions, it might have gotten 5 stars from me.

I added beer to cover the steaks and marinaded 12 hours in Nutrient Saver closed vacuum sealer marinade basin. Juiciest, most delicious Porterhouse steak I take always tasted.
03/17/2008
This tasted great! I was out of basil, and so I substituted rosemary, just it still came out tasting wonderful!
01/14/2011
I used this marinade for 2 big juicy ribeye steaks. Neither me nor my fiance cared for information technology that much. With all the soy sace, lemon juice and worchestershire it made the meat very sour and about made it taste rancid. I was a niggling disappointed in how many ingredients I wasted to arrive. I think maybe if the measurements were correct, with a little tweaking, this could be a good recipe. Maybe using fresh herbs instead of dried would be amend as well. Overall, it needs some work.
12/xiii/2012
I merely put the ingredients in a ziploc bag, add together the meat and squeeze out the air. Blending isn't necessary. I oft do several steaks at a time and pop the bags in the freezer so the meat is ready for the grill on short notice. This is very flavorful and peculiarly good on kabobs and London Broil. I've used this recipe for a few years and it's become the "firm marinade" because it's never failed to tenderize a piece of beef or generate a compliment. It can be tweaked for variety'southward sake and doesn't require verbal measurements. A tip of the chapeau to y'all Kookie!
10/14/2010
When I made this the first time, I definitely had my doubts. It looked like baby diarrhea, just I saw how many ratings in that location were and I decided to go ahead anyway!! WOW!!! I was very surprised. My girlfriend thinks I'm a Genius!! (Deplorable... I'm not telling her I found it online!!) Way to go!! Keep calculation more than recipes. You make my cooking look actually good! Cheers Kookie!
06/05/2010
This is the last fourth dimension I'chiliad going to ruin a perfectly good steak with a marinade. I used this on New York Strip steaks tonight and was thoroughly disappointed. In my stance, a adept steak merely needs a fiddling chip of common salt and some pepper, and then I'm promising my husband and myself that I'll never utilize a marinade on good meat again!
01/03/2012
So I made a steak for the offset time ever today (I'm merely 22, requite me a break). I used Allrecipes to find a skillful steak recipe since I had no idea what to do, except that I was going to pan-fry it. This marinade came up on summit of the ratings list. I used the hot sauce and extra garlic, and the only thing I changed was I used minced garlic instead of the garlic powder (didn't have powder), and used italian seasoning instead of the basil (once again didn't have basil). This turned out amazing! I can only imagine how much ameliorate it would've been if I was more experienced cooking steak! Definitely recommending this one to friends and family. Thank you for posting it!
03/06/2011
Not fifty-fifty shut. This is not only Not the all-time marinade in existence, but really substandard. The use of both of the garlics gives it a heavy palatableness. The basil is, well not actually sure why it's there. And the lemon juice adds an odd tangy note totally dissimilar anything else in the marinade. Perhaps substituting a wine instead of lemon juice for the acidity requirement might bind the whole affair together. This did not work at all for me. Sorry to say.

THIS HAS TO Exist THE BEST MARINADE IN THE WORLD! Marinaded for 6 hours- Turn the Grill on HIGH and with the lid downwards get the inside temp to 400, (await untill its up there), sear the meat on all sides opening and the lid to to bank check and flip. When seared or blackened to desired crust, turn the grill on LOW to cool it, untill the temperature gets down to about 275 or 300. When the grill cools downwards y'all can shut the chapeau and melt the meat turning occasionally until the within temperature of the meat is to the desired temperature. (150 is good) Take the meat out on plate cover with a dish cloth for about 10 min to let the meat remainder. Nada else needed. This is the marinade I chose to use for the tenderloins at the company picnic. There were three tenderlions about 3 lbs each, nine lbs total. I doubled the recipe for the marinade. I used both the minced garlic and the powdered garlic. Don't use 'Common salt Garlic'. And for the 'Lemon Juice' I used 'Existent Lemon' in the canteen. I used 'Black Pepper', non the white because I like how it crusts. And for the hot sauce I used 'Cherry Pepper' powder. The hot pepper boost serves to balances the spices information technology does non brand the meat hot at all.. I used 'Extra Virgin Olive Oil' because it has more flavor. I wanted to stretch the recipe so I added nearly ane/three cup more than oil. I split marinade up into three plastic zippos, threw a tenderloin in each one. Marinaded it in the frig, turning the pocketbook over a few times over a 6 hr period.
01/24/2011
very good i allow this marinade for ane-2days
12/13/2012
I have used this aforementioned recipe for over 15 years with one change. My recipe calls for a 1/4 cup of mustard. I prefer a grainy dijon only whatsoever will piece of work and each will subtly change the marinade's flavor. I have fifty-fifty used horseradish and what a kicking that gives. I also will marinade tougher cuts for 12 to 14 hours and the lemon juice makes them very tender. It also works very well every bit an injection sauce just must exist very well blended. JC3
04/xix/2011
If you're using this practise Non allow it marinade for more a few hours. I let it marinade over night and information technology was horribly stiff. No one in my house could asphyxiate it down. I'm not brave plenty to try once more with less marinade time.
02/07/2011
This was great. I used 3 fresh garlic cloves, sirracha sauce and added a little dijon mustard equally another reviewr did. I mixed this in my food processor and it gave the marinade a great texture....one that I dont think I could have acheived past just srtiring with a spoon. I marinated two ribeyes for 22 hours. The steaks came out so juicy. I had reserved some of the marinade and heated it upwards to drizzle on as I served the steak. It was wonderful. This ones a keeper for us!!
11/27/2008
I'k sorry, merely I actually didn't like this marinade, found it likewise overpowering. The taste of the meat was not there anymore, all I could taste was the marinade and I marinaded it for less than an hour. My married man took a bite of the meat and just left the balance on the plate.
01/13/2011
Both my brothers, my father and my picky husband all agreed that this was indeed the best steak marinade in existence!
01/02/2012
VERY VERY VERY Practiced! I followed the recipe exactly. I tried the marinade before marinating my 2 filet mignon steaks and I wasn't impressed at all. It tasted like seasoned worcestershire sauce to me. Anyhow I let my ii steaks marinate for iv hours, cooked information technology on each side for 3 minutes, added the remaining sauce to mushrooms like another commenter suggested, sauteed and served on elevation. Succulent!!!! The marinade combined with the steak WAS DIVINE!!!! My bf and I couldn't get plenty!!! Believe me, Exercise Non get discouraged if you try the marinade by itself, y'all volition Not regret making this. AMAZING!!!! Great Job Kookie!!
01/16/2011
Omit the lemon juice and you have a really proficient marinade. The acidity of a lemon really takes abroad from the flavor of a nice cutting of meat.
09/23/2012
Made this tonight for some inexpensive top round steaks. Wow! The whole family loved the flavor. So delicious. Great recipe! Thanks
01/31/2011
I had to try this recipe because of all the rave reviews and I thought for certain I had a winner only was very displeased with the end production. The steaks (Ball Tips) came out super tender but the flavour was all incorrect for my family and I. The flavor was too over powering! They were uneatable. This is the tertiary bomb in as many weeks. My sweet hubby, who is a awesome cook, is getting ill of me "experimenting" on my family unit particularly when they cease up leaving the dinner table still hungry on 'my dinner nights'. If I keep this pace upwards I only might finish upwards getting fired from my dinner nights.
01/04/2012
I decided to try this afterward seeing some good reviews. Information technology makes quite a bit of marinade, but I did two big flank steaks with information technology in ii divide numberless. I followed the directions, except I cut the basil in half as I ran out. I used depression-sodium soy sauce, and would definitely suggest that. Information technology is quite salty, from the soy sauce, fifty-fifty using that substitution. I also did add together the optional ingredients. At kickoff seize with teeth I thought information technology had a potent gustation of the basil, only the more I ate it, the more I liked information technology. The simply downside, is it actually over-tenderized. I never thought that was possible. I baked my flank steak, as usual, and it was so tender I almost had trouble cutting it. I would definitely use this for a tough, less flavorful, cutting of meat every bit the marinade does have very stiff flavor. It would mask a good steak, in my stance. For some reason, I could see men liking this though.
02/xvi/2012
Did not change a thing...it IS the best steak marinade. Give thanks you. :-)
12/15/2010
We love this one! It's a nice change from the bottled marinades and so yummy! The only thing nosotros practise different is add lots more fresh garlic in the blender...
04/02/2010
Fantabulous marinade. Basically a salt & pepper & olive oil homo at time of grilling, but on tougher cuts, properly scored or with employ of tenderizer tool, and on a roast, it is admittedly succulent for gustatory modality and moisture retention when left to rest. Very good. I prefer a little chipolte seasoning to the pepper sauce, and the fresh garlic. a very good v star + marinade, thank you, I usually prefer my home made rubs, but this was very very skillful.
07/19/2010
I followed the recipe to a letter and plant the taste was just to my liking.
12/22/2010
my husband and I have tried a lot of marinades and this is by far the best!. we use it everytime we grill steaks. def. amend than whatsoever shop bought marinade!
03/09/2012
This is a really bully marinade. Information technology has wonderful flavour, tenderizes the meat, and goes well with most cuisines. My merely complaint is that it's a simply salty- and so I don't use as much soy sauce.
07/31/2013
I've read a lot of reviews were people substituted this or that, well for me, I always try a recipe as written first, before I decide to substitute, add, delete, etc. At that place is goose egg I would change about this recipe!! I tried this for the start fourth dimension on a solar day I was having my family, and an old Navy buddy who was passing through town, over for grilled steaks and boiled shrimp. I wanted to do something unlike with the steaks, and I institute this recipe and tried information technology. I doubled the recipe because I had 8 steaks, and put them on to marinate nigh 10:00pm to go on the grill at 4:00pm the next mean solar day. There was not a single bite of steak left on ANYONE's plate, and all were raving about how flavorful and tender the steaks were. (I use a gas grill) My Navy friend took a photograph of the recipe on his manner out so he could have it when he got habitation. He sent me pictures of the babe dorsum ribs and chicken he was grilling after marinating them in this stuff, and said they both came out fantastic! And so thanks Kookie for sharing this! It's astounding just the way it is, and I really can't picture myself seasoning a steak any other way anymore. Heck, I may even marinate some rib eyes only to meet how groovy it volition brand them taste!
06/fifteen/2010
This marinade is okay. After cooking the just flavors that stand out are the soy sauce and lemon juice. I have had much ameliorate, and will most likely not use this one again.
12/xiv/2012
I brand this all the time, always makes the steaks so tender. Invitee always rave when I bbq steaks after they have been in this merinade over night. Love it!
08/11/2011
1/2 the soya sauce, cutting downwards on lemon juice and add together at least every bit much balsamic vinegar.
07/30/2012
Tried recipe at abode with flank steak. Used all ingredients except parsley flakes considering I couldn't discover in my pantry (it'll probably turn upwards now that I don't need it!). Marinated overnight in refrigerator. Allow meat come to room temp before tossing on a screaming hot BBQ grill. 4 minutes each side gave me perfectly medium rare steaks. I'chiliad going to try lime instead of lemon (or both) adjacent time. It was a large hitting with everybody. Thanks for sharing this!
09/08/2011
Unproblematic and good. I used this to marinade a london broil for 24 hours before grilling. The flavor is non super-strong but it's practiced and tenderizes the meat. I poured the ingredients into a large Ziploc and just kneaded them effectually, instead of blending.
07/28/2010
Great marinade! No need for the bottle of sauce! I marinated some steaks all solar day for the 4th of July weekend, grilled them upwardly and everyone loved information technology, they were and so tender! I made it as directed (yes, blending it upwardly) and have made this a few times since, it'due south that skilful!
06/17/2008
This is just perfect. I utilise it all the time for steak in stir-fry recipes, and concluding night I used it for grilling a large slab of beef. My husband was literally moaning at how delicious it was. I do substitute 2 cloves fresh garlic, pressed, for the garlic pulverization.
01/thirteen/2011
I was looking for a neat steak marinade and decided to effort this ane - mistake! Mode too much basil - my kids wouldn't eat it. I call back some aspects of this marinade are practiced. I'll attempt it again, using much less or maybe totally omitting the basil.
12/12/2010
This marinade gave us the moistest New York Strip steaks ever! Next time nosotros might add some extra crushed crimson peppers considering nosotros similar things spicy but, overall, it was amazing!!
07/31/2011
I made this and i added a tbsp of onion powder and 1/2 cup of tequila to give it a little more kicking
12/28/2010
I don't typically write reviews but thought this deserves mention. This marinade was a hit and very quick and easy to make. We all very much enjoyed it and I will definitely make it again. Thanks!
06/24/2014
Ameliorate than steaks we have had in New York, Chicago, or even Las Vegas's best. We did change lime juice for lemon and use real minced garlic rather than powder. Also added fresh ground blackness pepper. Have tried both blended and not composite, blending does seem to mix everything together better but is not required. Everyone we have made this for goes crazy about how expert the steaks are with this. You actually simply can't go incorrect with this marinade. It lives up to its name then some!
07/09/2012
We use this marinate on Flank Steak and put it on our wood smoker and it turn out marvelous!
01/04/2010
This marinade smelled so yummy I couldn't wait to try information technology! I was sooo disappointed. None of me kids liked it either. We had to drench the meat in bbq sauce to drown out the flavor of this marinade. Will NOT make again! Definatly non kid friendly recipe!
04/12/2010
Really, really good! The Best Steak Marinade in Being? Probably not, just it was very proficient and well work making once more.
07/fifteen/2012
Made our steaks way too salty even with low sodium soy sauce.
12/24/2009
This was not skilful. There was something off almost the flavor. I did marinade four T os steaks for about 6 hours. The meat tasted BLAH!
07/01/2009
It was Great!! I left out the lemon juice and used fresh garlic. Instead of the of using pure olive oil i used garlic and basil infused. As well i used crushed cherry pepper. The steak was great! Using a blender really makes a difference.
08/06/2011
Fabricated equally written, except didn't alloy everything together and merely marinated for xxx mins. Would exist fifty-fifty improve overnight. Definitely a keeper!
07/23/2011
This marinade makes the $20 cut of meat to taste like pizza. Too much basil
02/26/2009
This was merely okay for usa. As well strong, too salty, and bland. Perhaps I bought the worst kind of Soy Sauce on the marketplace - I followed the recipe exactly. I'm sorry! I Will attempt again with a unlike soy sauce.
09/23/2013
I accept fabricated this ii times already. The first was on steak, then the second was on pork chops. For a tertiary time this calendar month, I am using it one time again on craven. My family loves this recipe and is a keeper. Minor changes : (ane)I don't blend it, I merely use a whisk and whisk it really adept before I put information technology in a ziplock handbag. (2)I do use the mince garlic, just information technology is fresh. We love garlic, and then the more than the merrier and (3) instead of ane 1/2 tablespoons of parsley, I just use ane tablespoons since parsley tin can be stiff. This recipe is a hit. Even with folks that don't intendance too much for the ingredients, but together and later on grilled, they are amazing. I recommend everyone trying this.
07/19/2009
At present this is some fantastic stuff! The flavor of my kickoff bite of my (grilled) New York strip reminded me of something you'd get at an upscale steak restaurant. I'll definitely brand this steak marinade once more.
12/eighteen/2010
This recipe more than lives upwards to its name. I used bottled lemon juice instead of the fresh squeezed and omitted the hot pepper...it was still outstanding. All of our dinner guests were truly diddled away past the flavor!
07/28/2011
I'one thousand going through and reviewing all the recipes I accept tried and I can say I like this 1. I use far less olive oil because I really don't run across the need. I likewise apply less lemon juice considering it volition "cook" the meat. Not necessary to use only white pepper and then I just used skillful old fashion fresh cracked black pepper (yumm). Marinate with soy sauce, olive oil (ii tbsp), splash of lemon juice, Worcestershire, minced garlic, parsley and tsp cracked pepper. NO NEED to blend in blender. But throw in a non-reactive bowl or baggie (my selection) Marinate for at least 2 hours. Take the out of baggie toss on grill every bit you normally would and they come out quite prissy.
06/23/2011
This marinade is delicious!! Instead of but marinating for an hour or so it turned into more like 24 hours due to a change in our plans. I was delighted that the marinade was so succulent. Information technology literally turned our steaks into gourmet matter. I also sauteed some mushrooms and onions with the remaining marinade to get with the steaks. YUM!!!!
12/31/2010
looks horrible, but it tastes crawly.
05/02/2011
I think maybe the basil should have been 3 teaspoons instead of table spoons. It actually overpowered everything else, just I call back this would be and excellent marinade with that correction, so 4 stars.
06/fourteen/2010
Doubled the recipe, only only used plenty lemon juice for a unmarried batch (Only had 2 lemons, and it wasn't plenty, apparently). Overall, it was very good! UPDATE: I made it exactly as written, using a large pack of stewing beef that I softened with my meat tenderizer. I poured the marinade over it & permit it sit for almost thirty min. Then I made Shish-Kebabs with it. I ised 1 big pack of stewing beef, i cherry pepper, 1 green pepper, and i red onion. It fabricated 22 succulent shish-kebabs!!
09/25/2007
I was skeptical, just I must admit--it really IS the best marinade in existence!
05/07/2010
Crawly! That's all. :)
08/01/2011
This marinade was pretty good but I idea it was a little overpowering for a steak. You couldn't even taste the natural flavor of the steak. I think it has too much Worcestershire sauce in information technology. I marinaded mine for most 4-five hours.
07/xiii/2011
Likewise salty - utilize less soy sauce & make sure it's low sodium
01/25/2010
certainly tenderized the steak only did not care for the sense of taste
05/05/2010
I marinaded two small frying steaks for 2 days and pan fryed until meat was cooked. I never had a more saltier steak.....Too much soya sauce mayybe....wont waste product ingredients on this i once again.
12/16/2010
Well, the title is no prevarication. This IS the best marinade in existence. Information technology'due south delicious - perfect for steak, pork or chicken. I treasure this recipe!
02/twenty/2011
I used this marinade for a whole chicken. I put a double batch of the marinade along with the lemon rinds in a ziploc bag with the chicken for 48 hours. I removed the chicken and rinsed it off well, added the lemon rinds inside the cavity, seasoned with rotisserie craven seasoning and baked. So delicious!! The white meat was extremely juicy and tender. The flavor was peachy!
08/01/2011
Very good. I'm a huge fan of using fresh ingredients so I used fresh garlic, parsley & basil as opposed to dried. Marinated our Filet'due south in this for nearly three hours and they were tender and juicy. Volition definitely brand again.
08/03/2009
All I can say is "Yum"! Our steak was delicious, tender, so good! I inverse just i matter, and that was adding some onion powder as well as the garlic. I highly reccommend this marinade!
01/08/2012
We used this recipe before this week on cheap steaks for the kids's altogether political party.. Even with cheap steaks this marinade was Amazing!
12/09/2011
Ruined a good steak. Bummer.
02/eleven/2011
We've been using this marinade for YEARS! Nosotros don't add the hot pepper sauce. We use it on chicken! We marinade boneless, skinless chicken breasts and grill them on the bbq pit. We also accept what'due south left of the marinade and boil it downward on the stove, skimming off whatever fatty off the top, and serve information technology as an au jus on the side. It's tangy and salty. We love it!
02/10/2011
Great recipe and I only added one thing and that was because I didn't have enough Worcestershire sauce then I added some Teriyaki sauce instead. I left the chicken in the marinade for 5 hours and the flavor was out of this globe. I might add that this was the virtually moist chicken that I take ever eaten!

I fabricated some changes. I used 4 cloves of fresh Garlic, didn't have any Basil, simply added 1Tblsp of dried Rosemary and a heaping Tsp of dried Sage.Very tasty, and I grilled fatty Sizzle Steaks over Charcoal. Was delicious!

This is a wonderful steak marinade. It works wonders on the cheap tough cuts of supermarket steaks. They always turn out moist, tender and succulent.

I marinaded a top round flank for almost 10 hours and information technology was wonderful. The only change I made was to use just i tbsp of the dried basil as I was afraid married man would sense of taste likewise much of it. Wonderful marinade, next time I'll opt for overnight or longer. Thank you for a great 1 Kookie!

I didn't even measure I just put in all the ingredients except parsley and white pepper(I didn't have). I added red pepper flakes, black pepper and meat tenderizer and wet minced garlic and didn't alloy. I merely put information technology and the meat in a plastic purse in the refrigerator for a few hours. It turned out and then good!!! All-time steak marinade I have e'er fabricated!

This is proficient! I woke upwardly a piffling late, then I just had an 60 minutes to marinate the meat, but this marinade yet lent amazing flavor to our steaks. I didn't bother with the blending (dirty as few things as possible is ever my rule in the kitchen), cutting the oil to 2 T., and added a generous spoonful of minced fresh garlic instead of dry.

This is adept if y'all similar a strong, teriyaki flavour. I would say it's more suitable for craven, rather than steak.

I made the marinade exactly as instructed with the optional ingredients added and yes I used a blender (is it really that big a deal to blend it). I marinated one 1.25 inch t-os I bought from Publix (which are pretty good quality equally far as grocery store steaks go) in a sealed container for almost 2 hours. Then I rinsed off (yes rinsed off) the marinade from the meat and patted the steak dry with newspaper towels. Then I put approximately one/4 teaspoon of kosher common salt on each side and about a 1/ii teaspoon of black pepper on both sides and finally, liberal amounts of garlic pulverization infused with parsley on both sides. Then I permit the steak sit at room temp for a footling over half an hr and broiled for seven minutes a side for medium rare and it was outstanding! The marinade adds just a subtle hint of flavour that brings out the beef season nicely. No steak sauce needed at all. This was SLIGHTLY better than my normal routine which is but using Moore's marinade for a half hour meat-bath prior to seasoning and cooking. All in all this recipe is a winner! I wouldn't marinate information technology for a long fourth dimension similar many posters have done, unless it was a sorry piece of meat.

This marinade recipe truly lives upwards to it'due south name, it is the best steak marinade I have made! I used it marinate kabob's that I grilled, they were out of this world! My merely substitution was fresh garlic instead of pulverisation.

This marinade was too herby and over the peak for my gustation.

Really peachy and the beginning time I merely marinated for iv hours. I have two that have been marinating since Sat. Can't wait to see how they are doing with even more "soaking" fourth dimension!

I'g mostly a "let the steak speak for itself" guy, and ordinarily just use salt and pepper or maybe a footling rub, but i'm glad i gave this a run a risk.
